What we've been up to lately....

playing and getting out ALL the toys.



building great towers.



swimming, golfing, tee-ball, and playing in the sandbox outside.



learning through puzzles, books, flashcards, and our favorite educational tv.



creating masterpieces.



This summer we've been doing all the ordinary things that we don't have as much time for in the school year. It's been wonderful and relaxing, although Lukas and I are ready for school to start. I love the freedom of summer, and the schedule of the school year. I'm so glad we get to do both. :)

Swayne Vacation 2009

This year we went down to Houston and Galveston for our family vacation (6-25 - 6-29). Since my parents live in the Houston area, it saved us big time!! While we were there Lukas made a bear at Build a Bear, rode the carousel, went to the Moody Garden's aquarium, introduced Lukas to the beach, and played at my cousin's play center (Stomping Grounds Playland). Eric and I also celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!! Since we were vacationing at the grandparents house, we lucked out with free babysitting for our anniversary date. Like any good vacation, we had tons of fun and came back home to rest.

Galveston Beach

Six years and still forever in love!!!



When we walked out on the beach he said, "Lukas play big sandbox!" It took some convincing to get him out of the sand and in the water.





Playing at the beach is hard work!
