Nine Months Old!

I just can't believe that Squid is already nine months old! He is growing up so fast.

At nine months Lukas:
- is crawling faster than I can keep up
- is pulling up to standing (usually on the most dangerous thing around)
- is seemingly unafraid of anything (he is Baby Daredevil afterall)
- has 4 teeth (middle bottom and top)
- is babbling to anyone (or thing) that will listen
- is more curious than our cats
- is eating sliced (or diced, really) fruit, baby cereal snacks....in other words not just pureed food
- is not a picky eater...thankfully he'll eat anything
- loves going outside
- enjoys playing with his friends
- thinks bouncing is the activity we will all do in heaven
- has giggle fits playing peek a boo
- is very ticklish
- 18 lbs 13 oz
- 29 in
- loves his Mommy and Daddy more every day

We are so blessed to have such an amazing son!

Picture of the Day

This was taken with Eric's phone after we got back from the mall. Lukas "shopped 'till he dropped"!

These daily pictures will be hereby referred to as POTD. It's easier to jot down.

Picture of the Day!

Ok so I have been trying to take a daily picture and get it posted. Well, the picture part I've been doing, but I haven't been so good at the posting part. So, here's this week's pictures of the day.

Monday January 14, 2008:

Carrying everything in his mouth has been one of his lastest things. He'll crawl all over with it like that, stop play for a while, then put it back, and off he goes again. If only he knew how silly he looked.

Tuesday January 15, 2008:

He just wanted to be cool for lunch!

Wednesday January 16, 2008 (today!):

Thankfully, in this picture he is standing up holding onto the sofa. However, half the time he stands up and holds onto the most unstable the available. As I'm sure most mothers would say, I think he's going to give me a heart attack at some point. I sure do love him though!!!

Playing (of course!):

Taking a bath in the big tub:

Learning to climb the stairs:

And getting two new teeth!! He now has a total of four. Two on bottom and two on top (all the middle teeth).

Christmas #1 and # 2

I know I'm a bit behind, but we've been busy celebrating the holiday season. Lukas' first Christmas has certainly been one to remember. He did enjoy tearing at the packages a little, and we got some great pictures of when he did.

Christmas Eve we decided to pile in the car and go look at Christmas lights. Here is picture of Lukas ready to go.

Now we knew he wouldn't actually look at the lights and would probably sleep while we were out (that's actually what we were banking on seeing as we got him completely ready for bed before we left). And I know he looks happy and ready to go in this picture, but it's deceptive. Needless to say we only saw about 7 streets and then came home. Oh well, maybe next year.

I have a wonderful video of Lukas opening his first present, but for some reason it's not cooperating, so I'll post it when I get it cooperating again.

Turns out a vibrating teether is one of his favorite presents!

The paper was about all that was fun for him in this bag once he found out it was full of clothes. But he sure had fun with the paper!

After we opened presents at our house we went over to Mimi and Papa's house and continued the merriment.

Lukas surrounded by all his loot!!

Isn't he just cute?!

Resting from a full day of celebrating.

We went to Houston over the weekend to celebrate Christmas with my family, but I haven't consolidated all the pictures yet. When I do I'll post about that. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!
